This will ignite those who usually do not bother to vote, who are liberal, or independents who believe in "A woman's right to chose" For the 2022 and 2024 elections.

Again, I wish we would keep morality out of politics.

Our Churches should be the ones reaching people's hearts to protect the unborn...

This fight for morality should not come from politicians and politics, but in society... morality belongs to the church leaders and father's who are to be the head of their family.

I agree it will go back to the states.

I read something interesting which I will post here for us to ponder. One person proposed the left likes promote the need for abortion and the importance of the availability to it if a 12 year old was raped... an answer came from a former law enforcement officer:

Before I left law enforcement I worked in a Child Abuse/Sexual Assault unit.

There are rapes by force, there's incest, and there are young girls who are groomed into what would be consensual but is classified as statutory.

The reason many leftist men don't want abortion to end is it gets rid of the evidence and they don't have to pay child support. But in terms of the depravity of the left they outright ignore human trafficking of children solely for the purpose of the sex trade. This is one of those things where I wish I were wrong but unfortunately there's much more sexual violence against children than is acceptable and powerful bought off politicians look the other way.

It won't go back to the states either.
 
I don't think the SCOTUS has the authority to ban abortion. The most they could do would be to overturn Roe, which would effectively send the issue back to the states. And from a purely legal POV, I believe that is what should be done.

From the parts I heard, it seems like the court is most afraid of overruling their previous ruling; they seem to think it would undermine the court's integrity. I think that is completely ridiculous and just makes them appear vain.

Being a staunch pro-lifer, I want Roe to be overturned. But I have my doubts that it will happen. I do think it probable that earlier decision will be weakened.
