OK, where all have you been and where would you like to go? (Have we discussed this before? I can't recall. But anyhoo, it's worth another shot.) In-country, out of country, doesn't matter.

I've been to:

46 of the 50 states (missing North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Hawaii)
Alaska (deserves its own mention - LOVELY)
Germany
Dominican Republic
Jamaica
Bahamas
Puerto Rico
Canada
Mexico

I would like to go to:

Alaska (Inside Passage is drop-dead gorgeous...you simply cannot imagine until you see it in person)
Driving Tour from San Diego to the Canadian border via the PCH
Europe (focusing on Great Britain - especially Scotland, Austria, and Italy)
Nova Scotia
Western Canada (Alberta, British Columbia...I'd love to do the cross-Canada train trip, but it's a little pricey, I hear)
Antarctica (And no, I am not kidding...they do ice-breaker ship cruises where you can get off in zodiac boats and do tours, etc. It's pricey, though...$12K per person and up. :wistfulsigh: )
Argentina (would see this if I did the Antarctica trip since you depart from there)

When I was younger my family (mother, father, brother, and me) left Vancouver, BC and drove all the way to Tijuana. Gorgeous!!

Yep ... did the drive-thru tree, the motel on the cliff, the whole thing. Even had our picture taken on a zebra-stripped donkey while wearing sombreros. :))

You're missing out! North Dakota is awesome. There is really nothing that compares in the other 3 states on your list.

Admittedly, I would like to visit the southeastern US and the northwestern US. Also, I'm very slowly learning Chinese in hopes of a trip there in 5 years.

I know...I will put North Dakota in the Western Canada trip. :)

mei lan ... should I tell you that I took the train from Vancouver to Whistler and stayed there in a private chalet for Christmas one year?

Only if you want me to cry myself to sleep tonight.

It was my favorite all time trip. On the train up there we slowed way down in the middle of nowhere to watch a gathering of at least 100 bald eagles near a small river. Amazing. Then the chalet was so close to the town/ski lifts that we would just skate/ski to and from skiing and the chalet every day. We ate amazing food while our skis stayed securely standing in the snow outside. (Only time anyone would even think of touching them would be if they fell over, they would pick them back up.) We went out into the woods and cut down our Christmas tree. And Christmas Eve ... we went to service at a tiny little church tucked in the hills and when it was over and we all walked outside it began to snow. We started singing Christmas Carols as we walked towards town. Absolutely everything about that trip was magical, memorable, and wonderful.

I have been the the Bahamas ( 5 different islands)

I have been to Calica Mexico and Cozmuel

San Juan which is my new favorite place

St Thomas

all over Florida including Miami and Key West

Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, North and South Carolina

that is about it

I really haven't gotten out much. Until a couple of years ago, I hadn't been much further than Alabama! (Thankfully, one of the good things about all the baseball our oldest has played is that we've seen some places we wouldn't have otherwise.)

I've been to...

All the states touching Georgia
Las Vegas, NV
Memphis, TN (and other parts of the state, but that's the farthest. I LOVE Tennessee!!!)
New York City (and Flemington, NJ area)
Boston, MA
Houston, TX

The oldest also visited Cincinnati this year, but we stayed home to work (and pay for more baseball!)

I always enjoy a good vacation for a couple of days (especially St. George Island and the Smoky Mountains) but I'm really a homebody. I don't like to travel much because I like the conveniences of home. (I'm so boring!)

I wanna go to Hawaii ever so bad!
My brother has been stationed there twice. Once for about 6 months and another time for about 8, I believe. (Always seemed to be there and quick with the smartalec comments while we were freezing our butts off here. ) Even in all of the time that he was there he never got bored with the islands.

if Chad could get a Job in San Juan I would move there in a heart beat. I feel in love with that old city

I did not want to get back on the ship. It was US Territory so I could use my phone to talk to my mommy everyday and I would pack yall up and move ya with me( i love my computer because my friends live in it)

I feel the same way. I LOVED it. I want to go back and explore the entire island.

Truly, that sounds like heaven. What a perfectly lovely story! Thanks for sharing. (And I don't even hate you for it. :D )

I haven't been over-seas, but wouldn't mind visiting a few "safe" places like London, Ireland and Germany. I've been a few places around America. Sometimes for work and sometimes on vacation.

Las Vegas - vacation
Arizona (Took the Dam Tour with Mrs. Reacher ;D)- vacation
St. Louis - Drive By
Ft. Leavenworth, KS - To visit my brother who worked at the prison
Michigan - lived there
Pennsylvania - lived there
Ohio - lived there
Chattanooga, TN - lived there
Niagra Falls, Canada - with parents on vacation
New York City - working w/DEA
Miami, Fla - working w/DEA

And of course....the Glamorous and Wonderful stomping grounds of the infamous Grey Colson...

Fabulous and Sunny Daytona Beach! :DN
