Speaking of that train wreck of a show ...

I'm sorry - I cannot view this video. I don't want my blood pressure to spike to stroke-level, and I also don't want to lose 30 IQ points. Ye gods.
 
Holy crap...I do not like that show, well I have watched a few times with this little spitfire Mackenzie and she is just too funny, I digress, anyway, at least 10 of my friends posted about the GA one, so yesterday I watched. Holy crap! I was so shocked and appalled I had to call my son in to watch too! (I am mean) Really, really, could not find any better people than those for GA. They were nuts!
(That says a lot coming from a pageant director. I have seen nuts.)

Any time any national news media (or entertainment media) do something about Georgia (or the Deep South), they deliberately find the red-neckiest person they can find (hopefully missing a few teeth and dribbling tobacco juice out of the side of their mouth) to interview. Of course, said idiots just feed right into the perception, because they are stupid enough to agree to be interviewed or go on TV or whatever. :sigh:
 
I use to deal with TV news reporters from time to time. They told me they would pick the dumbest person they could find to interview for the entertainment value. That is why you rarely see somebody intelligent being interviewed.

I don't fully buy that. After my own many experiences with reporters I am convinced that part of them choosing dumb people to interview is to help make themselves look smarter.

I love her sassi-ness. I believe she really loves what she is doing. I have seen so many that don't want to do it, and moms are making them, both on the show and IRL. I know that of the people I have spoke with, it is either love her or hate her, not much in between. :))

She's a spoiled rotten little witch and her mother is about the biggest wet noodle of a parent I've seen. Ok, so it's on TV and who knows how much editing is done to get that portrayal of them but OMG!

I know, but she is still just adorable. :)) Mom is shown as a wet noodle, that is true, but I do not think she is really like that. I have seen her on a morning show or two.
Overall I do not like the show. I hate pageants that have nothing more to them than who is the prettiest. No platform, no essay, no nothing except who can afford to spend the most to have their daughter win.
