Was this related in any way to the scareware virus thingy that zapped my computer a couple of years ago over in pcom land?
The reason I ask is that we receive spam all the time that appears to be of that nature, every since that happened, I believe it came from some foreign country, if I remember correctly it was Hungary, or one of those Eurasion type contries.

Doubtful. Most of these are just people advertising stuff. This particular one had a link to a porn site.

Most of them do come from foreign countries though. The UK, Russia, Ukraine, China, Pakistan seem to be the worst. We probably average 10 a day caught in the anti-spam software, and 20-50 a day stopped by our IP bans.

Pretty dang amazing how big of a business that apparently is.

Luckily, we've only had 2 or 3 actually get through. I've seen them post some nasty stuff on another site where I mod. They have older software without the safeguards this one has.
