Software Upgrade later today (Dec 4 2020)

I will be upgrading our forum software to the latest and greatest version later today. Backups will be performed as a roll back plan if needed. I do not expect any major issues but connectivity may be intermittent during the upgrade. Thanks for your patience. I will post some of the new features that you may want to try out in a later post after the upgrade is complete.

I completed this last night. The best new integration is Giphy for all your GIF needs. Click the three dots and choose GIF. (See picture below). Enter your search term and pick the coolest picture you want! Boom

When I click the three dots; all I get to choose from is insert table, insert horizontal line, spoiler and code.

What theme are you using? One of the default ones? Maybe clear browser cache?

Same here. Using Default Style (at the bottom of the page). Chrome, cleared the cache except for cookies. (to preserve my logins)

Interesting I will see if there is a permissions option somewhere.

I cannot find the permissions issue so I have reached out to software support. Hopefully they can push me to the right place.

From support:


There is no permission related to Giphy - it's a global option.

Get the affected members to do a hard refresh using CTRL+F5 on a desktop machine, or using the tools if on a mobile device.

For me the GIF button shows up without having to click the dots menu button. I'm using a computer. It is likely moving the GIF and other buttons to the dots menu button based on screen size.
