So what about Tim Kaine?

lotstodo

aka "The Jackal"
Given Hillary's health problems and likelihood of winning we might need to be looking at President Kaine. He is a moderate Democrat from a swing state known to be loyal to the party but nobody's progressive. He has a Senate reputation as a policy guy willing to set aside partisanship for the right deal. He's been known to be amenable to tax cuts and has called for a return to the normal budget process. He has championed the fourth and fifth amendment against the Obama Administration. Quite frankly, he may in reality be further right than Trump. We could do worse.

Good point.

In policy, yes he might be better than Trump.

But the party affiliation still worries me.

And, I would be concerned that as president, the powers that be (whoever that is) will force him to swing to the left.

Well, that's concerning!!

But not a surprise, given how the Democratic party itself has embraced Radical Islam.

Obama has been quietly putting them into key government positions all the while.

It amazes me how the Never Trumpers can't even give him the same sentiment highlighted above.

Oh, I know we could do worse than Trump. Hillary would be worse, no doubt. But that doesn't mean I'm willing to abandon my principles and vote for someone that I think is a con man with no core beliefs.

That's cool with me. I seriously doubt he'll need your vote. Curious though...has there been a presidential candidate that you agreed 100% with and voted for? Maybe President Bush with his Medicare Part B and No Child Left Behind? :dunno:

Nope, never but I didn't consider any of them as con men with no core beliefs other than themselves.

Just curious...

Who is running that you could vote for without abandoning your principles?

Evan McMullin or Gary Johnson

Understand that I don't agree with all of their policies but I believe they have core conservative beliefs and aren't just out for themselves.

And you can overlook his regular pot smoking?

I'm having my doubts about Johnson.

But neither of them can win. McMuffin's only chance is if the election goes to the House.

Cool, I feel he same towards Trump's child care proposal.

 One thing I can never look over is a buffoon like Johnson wanting to make marijuana legal. Mainly because every other drug down the line will follow and I can't be convinced otherwise. Every dope head I ever bought pot from had access to sell cocaine, meth, LSD or heroin. You don't find those people at the foot of the Cross, that's for certain.

Maybe Johnson isn't the only buffoon.

From Johnson's website:

The Federal government should not stand in the way of states that choose to legalize marijuana. Governors Johnson and Weld would remove cannabis from Schedule I of the federal Controlled Substances Act, which will allow individual states to make their own decisions about both recreational and medical marijuana -- just as they have done for decades with alcohol.

And then Trump:

Not much difference.

We already know what the brain dead state politicians are doing with pot and I've heard what Trump says about allowing the states to make their own mistakes (which would normally please most conservatives). On the other hand, Goofy Gary is saying to legalize it out-right. If you remove marijuana from the federal schedule, that's exactly what will happen.

It blows my mind how society has been seemly trying to reduce tobacco use on hand while simultaneously pushing pot on the nation.

At the 1:15 minute mark.
