You ever see those guys setup at busy gas stations, they've usually got a table setup with a banner, and, of course, a product to sell?

They say things like.. just give me 5 minutes of your time.. this will only take a moment.. if you don't like this you'll at least get your car waxed.. etc..
The banners will have things like 2 for 1 on them.. or buy one get one free.. etc..

These are real life infomercials.. and about a year back someone gave me a box containing some of these magic products..
So I decided last night to try one on my truck.. It's in need of a really really good wax job, and I've just not had the inclination to break out the polisher and buffer and do a half a days work on my ride..

So I read the instructions on the can.. some of which are..
- Turn on your favorite radio station to have fun
- Don't work in the sun, the shade is much cooler

Oh what gems.

So I sprayed some on the truck.. wiped it around.. found another rag to "buff it out"..

Well.. I've come to the conclusion that this crap is nothing but PAM.. and now I have greasy crap sprayed all over the door of my truck. :tapfoot2

Sorry about that.
:laugh

On the bright side, at least you applied it in the shade. Hate that, I'm concluded that most products don't work nearly as good as they claim.

My wife even made the joke that if I had done the hood of the truck.. at least I could bake cookies on it.. :Stick

Mrs. Colson wanted to try that stuff called, "Black Magic" or something like that. A little bottle, about the size of an asprin bottle of liquid that promises to keep the black plastic parts of your car black for years. I knew before trying the junk that it wouldn't work, but we got the $20 bucks worth and tried it anyway.

Nope, didn't work any longer than Armoall :BH

This won't end well

You hush!

Well after the rain last night the "waxed" areas of the car aren't all greasy any longer and they have a nice shine to them.. Now don't get me wrong, this isn't busted my butt all day nice and waxed shiny.. But I'm almost thinking this is the type of stuff 3rd rate dealerships use to "beautify" their cars on the lot.
