So it begins....

I'm Floored

Lover of BS!
A deputy just said, "I'll start it off. I got bridges at 92 & Tidwell and 92 & Hunter. Both iced over."

It's going to be a long night for our LEO friends!

ha I just posted the same thing in another thread..I think I'll merge them =)

In Cobb now the snow is accumulating on the roadways quickly. Right now it is just snow, but there are already the beginnings of slick patches that will only become worse.

It just started snowing at my house about 15 minutes ago. It's really coming down hard.

I'm amazed at how quickly everything is covered.

The scanner is active with wrecks. And the deputies are having a hard time leaving & going to the SO.

And a deputy just said 61 @ Winndale is completely shut down.

its crazy how fast it packed up in the yard..our street is completely covered.

Jack Reacher said:
Cars off the road on Powder Springs Rd. Max speed 2 mph....

I can imagine..I just watched someone try to go down Davis Mill and they were going about 2 miles an hour with their flashers on..they couldn't see where the road is supposed to be

I don't think folks realized how quickly it would accumulate. It surprised me and I was warm at home.

cops on the scanner are using 4 wheel drives to get around in, their cars won't stay on the roads

yep they are all saying that. Several are getting in 4 wheel drives now. There is a 21 year old female stuck at Labamba on Ridge road without a coat

another lady with a baby stuck somewhere but didn't hear where

How are you guys listening to the scanner? I quit listening when you had to pay for it. I'm too cheap for that. LOL

www.radioreference.com click on live audio then click on GA and go from there

You can still listen for free. You just have to pay to listen to archives.

It's apparently really bad on 61 near my road. Several cars are stranded, and the deputy who responded said, "61 is just going to have to be a parking lot there. We can't do anything."

I heard my "other" son responding to the "Kids in the road on East Paulding throwing snowballs".
