Sandy - Divine Intervention?

The states hit hardest by Sandy are blue states heavily supporting Obama. Is it possible God used the storms on those states because of the election? I ask this because now I see a lot of victims in those states complaining about how slow the federal government is in providing help. Could this persuade many Dems to change their mind and vote for Romney and push even more independents to Romney? Perhaps because a lot of the damage many Democrats won't vote.

I understand now that the "government" will send trucks in so they can vote???? Sounds like if they can't vote, Obama will vote for them.

In any case, there is no scenario in which the Republicans will win New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, or Connecticut. Virginia is another matter, but the areas hardest hit are the Republican strongholds along the coast and in the mountains. The urban areas are relatively unscathed. If anything, I would say that Sandy helped the Democrats in a toss up state. I don't think that Ohio or New Hampshire will be influenced either way.

That's what I heard on the news this morning too.

Never say never LTD! ;-)

The elections MUST go on as scheduled, regardless of conditions.....or power. In order to change the date for ANY reason, EACH State must call their legislators to a special session to change the date and that just will not happen, much less in such a short time period.

Nah, if God really wanted to intervene he would have done like Lex Luther wanted in the first Superman movie and broke California off into the ocean.

Whelp, he nearly broke NY and NJ off into the ocean, does that count?? :snick_bunny

I don't look for God's hand in things like this. He may have a hand or he may not. A lot of things just happen.

I really don't know that God endorses a particular candidate. In the New Testament, we are told to "render under Caesar" etc, and it could hardly be argued that Obama is worse than the government that existed then.
