This band is actually referred to as the unluckiest.I don't know the answer. It seems it could be subjective but Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Allman Brothers band sure had their shares of bad luck.

When you said Wales that narrowed it down. You got it right.
They were called the Iveys when Apple signed them in 1968. They released two singles that were in the top ten in several European countries and Japan. Apple didn't release them in the US. The way Apple was set up, every decision needed all four Beatles to agree on things, which was often difficult to do because not all of them would be around unless they were putting together another album. The Iveys were being neglected and stated such in an interview McCartney ended up reading. He gave them "Come and Get It" which was written for the Magic Christian soundtrack he was commissioned to write. It was also this time the name was changed to Badfinger. When you said Wales that narrowed it down.
Speaking of Rock N Roll, it was a Molly Hatchet kind of night here. Man, that was a great group back in the day. Now all have passed, as far as I know.
The instrumental at about 3:04 is impressive for back then, IMO.
