Let's Go Brandon!!!

...for two separate perc tests on the same property in Paulding county. We had two tests ordered but just got word that they're now 8-12 weeks behind schedule.

We're scheduled to close on the property June 4 but we have the option to extend for another 30 days, which is what now it appears that we'll be doing.

Any suggestions?

Update: We were able to reschedule with another company. They'll be out this coming up Monday and will have the results back within a week. They just had a cancellation earlier today...God is good.

I'm surprised at how backlogged most companies were, maybe that's a good sign for the local economies. Without perc test you can't build, at least that's my understanding. If there's an 8-12 week backlog that's a lot of building planned. I can't see the county slowing construction because of a lack of perc testing but I could be wrong. Sounds like that's a lucrative business to be in at the moment.

As I recall, it's a time consuming test. Dig the hole, fill with water, wait 4 hours to see how far down it drops or something like that.

I think you’re right. The daughter and I went out and marked the area to be tested with orange flags and orange tape tonight. I also wanted to make sure there was no sign of flooding or drainage issues after two days of heavy rain. Everything looks good so far, I just pray the perc tests get done Monday and the results come back timely and positive.
