Presidential Candidates Speak At Grade School Level

I believe it is common to not speak above people in a public arena. Middle and high school level is what I think is common, even among some of the great speakers. Trump and his catch phrases and not having complete sentences or any type of structure is what sent him to grade 5. :laugh2:

I guess we are attempting to elect another orator n chief. That's really worked out well, hasn't it? o_O
 
Many years ago, at a job in the human resources dept of a major retailer, where I assisted the folks who wrote the training manuals for the stores, nothing was written over an eighth grade level. I thought it was sad then.
 
Pretty much *any* instructions or communications targeted at the general population are going to be at that level. Remember the country has changed a LOT in the last 20 years, my FIL (85) only made it through 6th grade before he was forced to quit school to work the fields. There are a lot of people out there who are high school dropouts, look at the graduation rates now to see that.

Myself, as long as its not taken overboard, I appreciate people speaking in a clear manner without all the highfalutin language
