Pepper seeds all nestled

naturegirl

Rolling down the highway
in their growing cups. Six different kinds this year, 2 hot, 3 mild, 1 spicy not hot. I'm so ready for spring. Might get to the maters today or tomorrow. :)

I need to get busy in the greenhouse this weekend. Then, I'll just have to remember to keep up my watering. :))

Yep!! Woooo Hoooo!!

Madea peppers are very slow to germinate, so I started them first. My greenhouse gets put away at the end of the seed starting season. I'll bring it out sometime around the end of February, it's just too cold in there for seeds to germinate. I start them in the house and then move them outside when they are about 6 inches tall. The back of my house faces South with lots of windows, it's great for seedlings.

I have this wonderful little 6 x 6 greenhouse that I got a few years ago as a gift (it was used, but in great shape). I really need to do some research on the best way to use it!!

I have a contractor at my disposal, but do you think I got my greenhouse :BH ? Heck no, and my bathroom looks like one in the Texaco station-ED demo-ed it 2 or 3 years ago, an :tauntd never did anything to it. I go in once and a while and grafitti the walls!!!! :rant
I need to start my seeds this week. I even saved my own from last years crop-how's that for a NY girl gone country!!! Now, if my asparagus hasn't died from Ed burning the hay on my raised bed, I may have my 1st harvesting of that this year. :pray
Sorry, I love the smiley things and had to play with them!!
Oh, by the way, I have a young fireman coming to rake my leaves in the yard and flower beds-would it be out of line to ask him to work in tight jeans and no shirt??? That would make my spring just about perfect :CLAP I'm old, not dead. 8)

You all that can actually grow stuff make me mad. :rant I can be made happy by being given any extra that you grow. :taunt

OHHHH-you didn't hear about my "learning episode" last year. Had everything in pots on the back deck and in a raised bed in the yard-the plants were beautiful!! :cheer1 They had been growing about a month or so, and they were big and green and starting to bud, when I noticed some bugs :tapfoot2. I thought about it and decided to go the natural way, and use an old trick I'd learned from my uncle-dish soap with some water in a spray bottle :whistle. SOOOO that's what I did! I was late in the day, almost evening, so I went in. First thing next morning I went to look at my beautiful plants. BURNED!! SCORCHED!! WILTED!!! :'( AAAGGGGHHHHHHH!!!
Seems that now-a-days, dish soap is really DISH DETERGENT -to cut the grease better-BADDDD for plants. DDDUUUHHH!!!! I just didn't know-I do now!! :huh

I'm a little jealous of all you Georgia types. Spring (and gardening) is a long way off here in North Dakota. I know where I want my garden to be located, but can't dig in the frozen dirt yet.

Poor thing!! Yea, I've burned a plant or two without dish soap, sun and water don't mix on tender green plants

I am so jealous of folks with green thumbs. Mine is not. :'(

I'm very good at starting the babies, when they get to be teenagers I have to turn them over to my husband. He's better at them than I am. I do what Charli does, I'm usually just trying to help them.

That's one of the reasons I love living in Georgia. It's still about 2 1/2 months til the garden will be ready but I like my plants to get an early start. Peppers take a long time to germinate.

Naturegirl, I think I owe you the return of some pots. If you are in the Hiram area some time, let me know. I'm no longer real sure which ones are yours, but I have a bunch and would be more than willing to share whatever I have that you might need.
