Geeze!!!

$110 each, plus wifey's pic from Walgreen's was too big, so the Post Office took another at $25 for a 2" x 2" pic.

There went $250 and the cruise isn't until May!

I went on a cruise to Mexico in late 2010 and I didn't need a passport. Did the rules change?

I don't know all the details, but there are certain places you can go without one.

Not where I'm going though.

:)) Most people on a cruise do.

I thought they might have changed that closed loop thing for the cruises. It has gone back and forth a few times on what the rules would be and are.
I personally would feel better about having a passport verses a birth certificate anyway, just in case of the event you don't make it back to your ship or really anything.

nope, don't need them for that...Thankfully

If you are on a cruise then you do not need it for the Caribbean, Mexico or Canada... there is a few more places but I forget

GD, good to be on the safe side and have a passport. I got mine back in 1992 (a challenge at that time cause the gov't was on shutdown- that's another story) to fly to Jamaica for a week. The only time I was asked for my passport was at Atlanta-Hartsfield upon arrival back.

I've driven to Canada before not needing a passport, although many years ago and things may have changed. Coming back into the USA my van was spot checked at the border.................they made me pour out a bottle of OJ I was drinking cause it was considered "perishable" food. :tapfoot2

I have a big big suit case you can take to hide me in..., I will sleep up on deck lol

Let me know how the cruise was GD. I'm thinking of taking one after I come back.
