I know I have been home everyday but I didn't know it was gonna effect my water bill this much. It was almost $70. $68 dollars for water and sewer.... I was like :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:

I remember when the 1st water bill I ever paid in 1994 was $11 now I am paying $70


what could cause it to go up so much
 
How long are your teens showers? :BH Mine has been known to fall back asleep in there in the morning.

she has a timer... 15 minutes lol

yes we switched to t timer because one time she called me to tell me the hot water was broken ( like 4 years ago)

I came home and hot water was fine. I asked her hw long she was in there then went all momma dearest on her

Our bill has gone up as well. My 11 year old likes to sing in the shower and she forgets how long she is in there. But, I also had 2 toilets that had bad flush seals so they would leak water. I have repaired those and scolded the 11 year old. We shall see if it goes back down. Of course, the rates could have gone up too. Gov't gonna make their money someway!
 
I have a tankless water heater, so endless hot water. It can be tempting to stay in the shower too long at times.

I cant wait to get back to GA prices. In MD they charge you $60 a month regardless of how much you use....Well let me change that if you use a ton they will charge you even more than that, if you use ZERO to a certain amount it is $60. But that does include trash and recyle pickup twice a week.

Right so when you consider the trash and recycle pick-up twice a week it is more than reasonable.

I pay, on average, about $55/month for water and trash pick-up and the trash is only once a week and there is no recycling pick-up.
 
I'm not on sewer either but the county water is $40/month.



ETA: we have a street light that they charge us for, too.
 
I could tell ya that our water bill was $4.00 this month , but I won't. stirthepot2

It really was, but I pay about 30.00 no matter how much the bill is. For some reason come April/May they always bill me about 50.00.
