I'm sort of preoccupied with the Weather Channel right now. :dunno Debby better get out of my way so we can get down to the beach for two weeks! :suntn

Hubby says I'm only watching the Weather Channel because I like looking at Jim Cantore. Guess he could have a point...... :))
 
Every time I see "Debby" I think of Debby Boone. I guess that makes me really old. :)) I hope she moves on so that you enjoy your time.

I know I have a few friends on their way back from the area because of the storm. :(

I hope she moves out quickly.

Not leaving until Wednesday night so hopefully, Debby will be gone. :) I'm just a little worried about our house down at Mexico Beach but our neighbors promise us they are watching it closely. Darned ole Debby...........

That is good! It is such a pain to have to rearrange plans.
 
We just got home from the Beach on Friday afternoon. The water was perfect and we had a great time with the grandkids. Hubby said on Thursday afternoon that that storm would brew. Old stuff left over from his Air Force days. We laughed at him but it is not funny now.
 
I saw on FB that St George Island is being evacuated. They are opening the bridge long enough for everyone to leave, and then closing it for 24-36 hours. The Apalachicola Bridge is already closed.

Well, yes and no. :)) It was hotter here yesterday than there. And, it was just SO much fun! Of course, storm threats are NO fun!
 
Jim Cantore is easy on the eyes, but he's basically a Big Ol' Girl. He sounds like a 7th-grade girl squealing about a storm while standing out in it. Makes me tired. I don't like TWC since they went more liberal and harp about global warming all the time. My favorite (who I don't see so much since I don't watch TWC much) is Mike Bettes.
 
Y'all crack me up with your TWC comments. I worked there for many years in the facilities dept. Some of the stories I could tell about behind the scenes are quite funny.........some not!!! IMO, as for Jim (aka The Chief) he was a jerk. Now for Schwartz he was one of a kind, loved what he was doing, and just a great person to be around.
