Has anyone tried that new Huey Luey's (sp) in front of the Movie 278? It used to be an Italian place.

Anyway, DD called this evening very excited. She said they hired her and she starts tomorrow. I guess we'll be going there to see how it is.

We drove by today and they seemed to be busy. Hope they do well.

Thanks! I hope they do well for everyone's sake. Pray for DD. This will be her first real job and I know she'll be dead on her feet by tomorrow night.

We didn't push her into working, but all of her friends work and I think she's feeling a little left out. But I remember how I felt after my first real day of work :-\\ It's a shock to the system.

Pollo Loco closed down. I guess that's what they get for calling it "Crazy Chicken" in Spanish. Kind of makes you think the used poultry with "Mad Chicken" disease.

I hope it's good. You know we'll be going frequently now. I'll be honest and let you know how it is. The place it used to be, Carabas (sp) I thought was real good, but it didn't last long. Some places seemed to be cursed that way.

What days does she work this week?? We thought we'd get together for a lunch in honor of I'm Floored's birthday. We certainly want to request the best server. :)
 
Her first day is today at 4:eek:o PM. I guess she'll work until closing. She don't even know which days/nights this week she'll be working.
 
had a friend who ate there today for lunch. She said Laparilla is by far the best. She said Huey's was just "ok". Just passing along what she told me. I'll have to try it eventually and see what it's like. But for goodness sake whatever we do...KEEP GUARD DAD OUT OF THAT PLACE!!!! :)) :))
 
I've heard the term "Fish Taco" for the first time in my life. I think I'm gonna BLOW! :eek:

Lady at work says she loves them. Says they are popular in California.

I said, FIGURES! ::)
 
No way I would eat a fish taco. It doesn't sound natural.
