More political correctness

Ridiculous. They are about as country as Madonna. How about the thousands of immigrants forced into servitude in the north during the same time frame. The sweatshops and factories of the north were just as cruel as the agricultural slavery in the south. Lets rename every damn thing to This, That, Thing, Them, Those or It. No racial, ethnic, historical or gender implications. You know like This Mart or That Group.
 
I'm really sick and tired of slavery being blamed on American white people. Slavery goes back into the Old Testament of the Bible. Jews were slaves to the Egyptians. Romans had slaves.

Would slavery have ended if Dutch traders never traded along the Gold Coast (now Ghana) of Africa? Slavery in Africa existed long before the Dutch arrived there. My point is, if people today are going to blame George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and other Founding Fathers; and also blame leaders of the Confederacy, then they must also blame the African people, the Dutch, the British Monarchy, etc.

There is no doubt in my mind that many black leaders today whose roots go back to Africa will find that part of their lineage many generations ago, where most likely involved in the taking of and using others as slaves. Tribal wars in Africa resulted in enslaving members of other tribes and also trading them.

Slavery still exists today in Africa.
