I will admit to being a snobbish about a few things. Beer, when I drink it. Chocolate. There are a few other odds and ends I'm sorta particular about.
And grits.
I have eaten grits that come from Logan Turnpike Mill for over 10 years. They are located up near Braselton. Little out of the way "house" that houses a small stone mill they use to grind them. I used to make a supply trip up there a time or two during the year, particularly when the leaves were changing. Or, just when I needed to get out and make a drive in the mountains. The last few years, I haven't been able to find the time, and now in Nashville the distance is a bit too much. So, I order about 8-10 pounds and they ship it to me. That and a gallon of wild flower honey, something else I'm snobbish about.
My grits haven't arrived. I ordered them nearly 2 weeks ago. Mrs. Mac is promising some killer pancakes. But I like to have my grits on the weekend.
So, what are you snobbish, or let's say particular about?
