They're making it into a play. I really enjoyed the book, movie was so-so, you had to have read the book. I love seeing live performances.

Followed the case in the papers when it was happening, each time, read the book, saw the movie.
Most likely will not see the play.

I've actually seen this movie. I didn't care for it - the book was much, much better.

Why wouldn't you see the play? Live performances are sooooo much better than movies. That's cool that you followed the case. Could that lawyer been more aloof??

Oh, I looooove plays.
I have seen Richard Harris in Camelot, Carol Channing in Hello Dolly and many others.
I just don't think I would care to see this story as a play.
I wasn't to thrilled with the movie.

Yea the movie was so-so, the book was awesome. But maybe I'm happy about it because I love Savannah. ;D

Well, I'm the weirdo here - I do not like Savannah AT ALL. Perhaps it's because I have some friends who used to live there, and I visited them a good number of times for several days at a time. I found it to be dirty, seedy, creepy, and rundown, and has lots of ne'er-do-wells. LOTS. Obviously, the river front area is nice, and the older homes. But one street will be really nice, and the next will be the pits. It's not as bad a town as New Orleans (which I really hate, also having spent some time there with friends who lived there), but pretty bad. Also don't like Tybee Island, but for a different reason. It just doesn't speak to me.

my daughter LOOOVES this story and we have been inside the house. We got a personal tour by Jim's sister, Dorthy. My mom was with us and thought it was very cool.

Every time we go to Savannah Ash points out landmarks that were in the book. If you are looking for Bird Girl that us to be in Bonaventure Cemetery they removed it and placed it in the Telfair Museum.
