Unlike the President of Mexico I just don't think "Hugs" for the Cartels are going to work well. 250,000 dead in a decade, 30,000 a year and only 1% of the civilian citizens are allowed to own guns to protect themselves while the cartels make their own guns now.
 
You know, it's kinda funny, when they say that the US has the highest murder rate in the world, they never seem to compare us to Mexico right next door. Wonder why that is?

On the radio I heard over 100 a day are currently being murdered by the cartels. It seems to go unreported.
