I hope each and every one of you have a very Merry Christmas and that you have a happy, healthy, safe and prosperous 2011. It has truly been a magical Christmas season for my family and I hope that it has been for all of you and your families.
This time last year, I was dealing with the death of my dear 99 year old grandmother. After a very long, fulfilling, healthy life, she died in my home on December 16th in the presence of my family, friends, and our hospice family that we came to adore and love. Even though we still miss her terribly, this Christmas season has brought such joy to our family and I feel this is my grandmother's way of telling us to continue to enjoy life and its little pleasures, such as this wonderful Christmas snow we are enjoying. Sometimes the little pleasures are what brings us the most joy.
We also received the great news that our son and his beautiful wife are expecting our grandchild. They gave us the news on Thursday as we all traveled to my hometown in North Georgia for my family's Christmas party. My husband and I were getting out of our car at my Mom and Dad's when they walked up and said they had a Christmas present for us. They presented us with a beautifully decorated box containing a silver plated Christmas ornament engraved with "Merry Christmas from Joseph, Mandy and Baby". The due date is August 8, 2011 and we are overjoyed!
I sincerely pray that each and every one of you have enjoyed numerous Christmas joys and that you will have a very, very, happy, healthy, safe and prosperous New Year! Also, thank you to Guard Dad, Jack Reacher and others that have made this site possible and for all the wonderful friends here!
