MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE

I hope each and every one of you have a very Merry Christmas and that you have a happy, healthy, safe and prosperous 2011. It has truly been a magical Christmas season for my family and I hope that it has been for all of you and your families.

This time last year, I was dealing with the death of my dear 99 year old grandmother. After a very long, fulfilling, healthy life, she died in my home on December 16th in the presence of my family, friends, and our hospice family that we came to adore and love. Even though we still miss her terribly, this Christmas season has brought such joy to our family and I feel this is my grandmother's way of telling us to continue to enjoy life and its little pleasures, such as this wonderful Christmas snow we are enjoying. Sometimes the little pleasures are what brings us the most joy.

We also received the great news that our son and his beautiful wife are expecting our grandchild. They gave us the news on Thursday as we all traveled to my hometown in North Georgia for my family's Christmas party. My husband and I were getting out of our car at my Mom and Dad's when they walked up and said they had a Christmas present for us. They presented us with a beautifully decorated box containing a silver plated Christmas ornament engraved with "Merry Christmas from Joseph, Mandy and Baby". The due date is August 8, 2011 and we are overjoyed!

I sincerely pray that each and every one of you have enjoyed numerous Christmas joys and that you will have a very, very, happy, healthy, safe and prosperous New Year! Also, thank you to Guard Dad, Jack Reacher and others that have made this site possible and for all the wonderful friends here!

Thank you so much Beach Bum. It's been a good day with family and I pray each of you have had a wonderful and blessed day. :D

Awww Beach Bum, you made me cry. But it's a good cry. <3 Merry Christmas to you and your family, what a wonderful present from your son and his wife!!

Beautiful post, BB from a beautiful heart and soul! I love you sweet lady, you deserved all that wonderful joy!

Honestly, if you had talked with me yesterday you would have found me a miserable old grump. Today, my heart sings the joy of all the wonderful blessings I have in my life.

As the Christmas day comes to a close, I hope the joy of Christmas continues within each of you. May 2011 enrich you beyond your wildest dreams.

Wonderful story BB. I am so happy for you. We made the trip to see our family in Alabama yesterday and made it back home safely. Half the family did not make it because of the weather. I am thankful for the time we had with all who did make it and for the safe trip there and back. I miss the members we lost last year and it has been a bitter sweet holiday. We will soon have a new daughter-in-law and we already love her. I am grateful for all of my friends here and am so glad to know all of you guys. Merry Christmas to all of you wonderful people.
