BBG and I took the kids outside today to start our garden. This is what he have so far...note the wine cork labels that I saw on Pinterest.

Our strawberries...I got them at Elrod's for 99 cents each using the coupon that I got in my e-mail.

Awesomeness! I forgot ask, but did you get the chicken and rabbit (that BBG toted down the stairs during the tornader) at the cattle barn? What did your daughter think of everything?

I'm so jealous. Our lot is an acre and yet I have virtually nowhere to have a garden. Couple of small container gardens is all I had last year. :(

We did get them at the auction. The bunny is pregnant and should be having her babies in the next week or so. Our daughter loved it. She was actually the one who raised our card to bid on the chicken and rabbit.

I've got two and am in the same position. One acre is a bluff/cliff and the other is very wooded. But I love my woods more...

Much as there are times that I wish time would stand still, I can't wait til hubster retires and we can move out to our property. Oh my, the garden I'll have there.

Way cute! :lostinfondmemories:

That is so cool!! I love the cork markers!! I've used popsicle sticks but they usually rot out before I get the plants in the ground. LOL What have you got besides the strawberries??

I transplanted about 150 tomato and pepper plants to their bigger pots this weekend.......I'll have extras again. I always over plant because I never know how many will germinate. Had some Amish tomato seeds from three years ago (my uncle saved them for me) and I planted them heavy because they were older.......yea well there are 25 in their own cups now.

Thats no excuse!!!! Our greenhouse is an upside down aquarium on an old work bench and we plant wherever the hell I can dig a hole. I plan on attempting a hydroponics system that I can put in the garage for winter growing.
