Pursuit Driver
So Lil RNG got her 2nd letter from a college and she was accepted. So now she has to choose between Young Harris and Shorter University. I am keeping fingers and toes crossed she picks Young Harris but we'll see. I am so so proud of her for getting into both! I have a good kiddo :love Just wanted to share ;D

Thanks! I am voting Young Harris also! That's where she got the most $$ in scholarships so far! Plus I just love love love the campus! I think she would love it! Is it sad that I was kinda hoping she didn't get accepted to Shorter..hehehe. We are gonna have a sit down tonight and go over everything!

My husband and I both went to Shorter and loved every minute of it! It has been a while (afraid to admit how many years) but we would be glad to try and answer any questions she might have about Shorter. Best of luck to Lil RNG!
 
One of my singing buddies went to shorter, but Young Harris would be a nice area to go to school. 8)

Either choice is good! But, I'm VERY fond of Young Harris!!
 
Yay!! Decisions, decisions. Sean got accepted to 3, Jacksonville State in Alabama, West Georgia (honors dorm) and Georgia State. He really wanted Georgia Tech, he just couldn't get that math score up high enough.

He didn't want to major in Music and he couldn't use Hope so Jack state was out, most of his friends went to Georgia State, he wanted to go with them. I sort of pushed him into West Georgia, it was close, he would be in a great dorm and I was friends with the Dean of Student Judicial Affairs and Registration.

I think he resented me for it, he lived on campus for a year and left West Georgia with a 0.25 GPA. None of his friends finished at Georgia State either. He has recently gone back and is taking core classes at Chattahoochee Tech with hopes of going on to Kennesaw.

I'm saying this only because I didn't let him "do what he wanted". He's always been a good kid and this was his only rebellion, ever. So the moral of the story is, don't push her too hard for what you want. I guess making her want what you do is best. :)

Fantastic advise NG! I am trying to follow it now. Son keeps getting acceptance letters, which he gets sooo excited about, and we want him to just stay local for the first year and live at home.
Husband went to West GA his first year and left after the first year with such a low GPA I am not sure it even showed up! ( :)) He did go back and finish) Son is my husband, exactly ,and I am afraid he would do the same and mess everything (scholarships) up, but I keep biting my tongue.

Excellent advice and that is what I am doing. I am wanting Young Harris, but I want her to make up her mind on her own and decide what she wants to do. I want this to be an experience for her that I never had the opportunity to do. I will support her no matter where she decides to go. We will make it work one way or another =)

Thanks for all the advice everyone and the Kudos! I'll let yall know what she decides!
