I took the survey, interesting. I got to voice my opinion of the lousy service we currently have in East Paulding. We have third party DSL on a land line, (which is extremely crappy). Also, possibly available, is Screwverse, but there are not enough decent telephone wire pairs to support all 14 families on our street. Comcrap refuses to even provide an estimate to bring broadband into our neighborhood. Meanwhile, sitting at the end of our street is BellSouth fiber optics, but they won't bring it down the street because we are too small, and the cable crews are needed in the larger sub-divisions. I get so tired of being behind the eight-ball in these deals!
That user probably works for the phone company. Our main trunk cable is damaged and they have told us on various occasions that they will never install copper trunk cable again! So we say run the fiber and twice the supervisor said that we are too small to mess with at this time because it is more beneficial to do big new sub-divisions. Another little bit of info that I find hard to believe, is that the phone company does not keep maintenance records on problem calls,,, I wonder if that has something to do with PSC complaints? That's weird. My subdivision (with 14 houses) has ATT fiber. As far as I know, there is only one user. Everyone else is trapped with ComCrooks.
