Inflation hits Amazon: Price of Prime memberships going up

It does, but sadly it will still pay off for me, so I'm stuck.

Amazon should just create a worm hole to my house.

I normally balk at price increase but I completely understand the reasoning this time, transportation costs have soared since 2018. For a mere $20 increase for 99% of my stuff continuing to be bought cheaper on Amazon than from the big box stores and with it delivering quickly…..I’ll gladly pay it. We’re basically ordering all of our house interior finishing through Amazon (door knobs, cabinet pulls, lighting). Saving hundreds for the exact same item number.

yeah an extra 2 bucks a month is not going to break the bank. It sucks that it is going up but companies have to do what they have to during this "Biden" crisis.

Wait a freaking minute....

For the quarter ending Dec. 31, Amazon blew earnings per share projections out of the water. Wall Street had expected EPS of $3.44, but the retailer delivered a staggering $27.75. Investors appeared to like the results, as the company's stock shot up more than 18% in after-hours trading following the report.

Earnings per share are up 7x expected and they need MORE money????? Give me a freaking break!

The way they told us at Big Red the year they had record profits... since the likelihood of doing that again was so remote, but still expected... we would not get much, if any raises that year. My first thought was, 'Well if that's the case, we can make sure you never show a profit again and get bigger raises'. Wharton educated management is a bit Bollocked.
