Well, it's a beautiful day here in the middle of nowhere, albeit cold; however, no flights are scheduled in for today. Still stuck here. The chopper pilots do not like to fly here because the weather can change from good to bad very suddenly. Another guy I work with was supposed to come up here instead of me, but because we don't have our weapons authorization issue resolved yet, he didn't want to come up here without a weapon. In other words, he's a friggin coward. It's nothing to send someone up here and they be stuck here for a month because the difficulty of getting flights in here. I myself, would never send someone who is three weeks away from going on leave here because of the difficulty getting flights in and out of here.
All I know is if I don't get out of here so I can start leave on time, I'm going to be highly ticked off and at one person in particular. In fact, I'll see to it he has to go to another site and if he refuses to go, I'll have him fired. There's no sense having someone if they're too scared to go out to the teams. Our area of operations is the largest and contains the most teams. That's why we have two people here. I was doing all the traveling myself before he arrived. If I'm going t have to continue to do so, then the company just needs to send his sorry butt home.
Sorry for the rant, but I had to vent.
