move anywhere in the world where would you go and why?


I would move to a beach somewhere, because it is the most relaxing place to me. I think I could be perfectly happy selling suntan lotion and sunglasses :laugh
 
I love to visit the beach in the off season and on the rare occasion during peak season but no way I could ever live at the beach. I need really season and hills and real trees and all that stuff. I'm a VA Blue Ridge girl ... Skyline Drive area.
 
The beach was always my favorite, and I moved here about a year and half ago. I do really enjoy it, but it becomes a way of life where I take it for granted. Being a "local" now, I can't stand the traffic with all the tourist, BUT that is great for the local economy!!! Off season here is the best!!! Next would be a place like my father has. He has an awesome place in the western part of Virginia (NOT West Va) Stuarts Draft, VA. Beautiful view of mountians, a valley looking at below. Very peaceful
 
My dream has always to live in a small one room open cabin.....with a wall to wall fire place...with a swing on the front porch .....next to a lake. ....with a small row boat.......with a big huge oak tree for shade....and a big sunny back yard..for my garden.....close enough to drive to the beach and close enough to drive to the mountains.....and still be close to visit with my family.....I'm really not sure where this place is....maybe one day I hope to find it.....

Where would I move? Either somewhere that I could swim constantly or if not then somewhere that doesn't get hot weather. Tasmania (part of Australia, admittedly)? Copenhagen?

My father has a place in Rappahannock County (Washington,VA) right at the beginning of Skyline Drive.
 
I'm actually there. SW North Dakota is like Heaven. I love living here and can't bring myself to leave even though I've had several awesome job offers over the past year or two.

But, if I could vacation somewhere, I'd love to make a tour of China. I'm starting to learn Chinese because I've set that as a goal for myself within five years. Of course, I have to start saving now for this trip (and for a house in the nearer term, so we'll see if this dream ever actually materializes).
