I'm listening to the scanner. It's CRAZY out there! Wrecks are everywhere. I don't recall hearing it this bad in a decade. Everyone be careful, and STAY OFF THE ROADS if you can!

Mrs. Reacher and 'lil Ms. Reacher had planned on a little shopping tonight, but that got put down REAL quick. Mrs. Reacher slid as she got in the turn lane to McDon's on the way home, but recovered without hitting anything.
The reports to me from Cobb is that ALL bridges are iced over and Marietta PD has a minimum of 10 calls holding regarding people off the side of the road and vehicle accidents.
I spoke to PCSO a few minutes ago about another matter, but all of their personnel are working calls and none are in the office. It's going to be ugly tonight. I need for all of you to post you cell numbers so I can call you to pick me up if I slide off the road at midnight.

I remember having an ice storm hit while I was on the job. I get called out to the interstate for a car accident. About an hour later I'm back in my pc to clear the accident scene when I look up and see another one occur about 100 yards in front of me. I clear and drive up a little, handle that one and I have another one behind me about a couple of hundred yards. In all, I spent over 5 hours filling out accident reports on a half-mile stretch of interstate. The salt trucks finally came by while I was on my last one. Needless to say, I went to the closest restaurant after that to get something hot to eat and drink.
