I'm working the night shift tonight at the tugboat dock and it looks like a slow night. Who is going to stay up with me?

I think that's what we all do. ;) I'd stay up with you Callahan (I'm a night owl), but I've been sick for a number of days...last night I went to bed at 7:40 and woke up this morning at 8:40. So I'll just have to see how it goes.
 
I can honestly say it won't be me.

Sorry.

Getting up around 3:30 means I head to bed about 9.

I hope you feel better. I hate getting my days and nights turned around, especially for one day. I'll sleep tomorrow for a few hours and should be switched back. I have a 0500 undocking and a 0530 inbound. That is it for the whole night. I hope I can stay awake!
 
I'd love to find something like that to do when I retire. Anything but being responsible for 40 people jacking everything up and ME getting blamed for it. One thing i know for certain. I don't want to ever supervise anyone but me again. It's over-rated. I should have listened to my Dad! :'(

It works out well for me. Just enough to be interesting and it gets me out of the house. Last summer, I worked full time and it was to much. The Chief said I had already retired once and that was enough. I resigned but later they asked if I would come back part time. So, here I am. If you would have told me, even 2 1/2 years ago, I would be living here and working for a tugboat company, I would have laughed you out of the place. I thought I would miss working for the County. Most of the time now, I don't even think about it.

I'm glad the shutdown on the Highway lanes cleared up. Yep, he is a Docking Pilot. He is also somewhat of an ass. I use to take his crap personally, until I found out he treats everybody else the same way.

I hate hearing that. :( But, I've heard she's not so pleasant either. I used to want to meet her, but not anymore. I don't want my bubble busted. :))

I've heard that having big money just makes you more of what you already were, so he must have been a ass all along.

I've read that before about him...I'm surprised he even still works and just doesn't live off of Paula's money.
