I\'m STARVING!!!

I'm Floored

Lover of BS!
So, I packed it on last week. Seriously. I gained 3 lbs last week, because I snacked everything in sight. I also had a huge platter of crab legs last week at Catfish Den, and a yummy filet over the weekend at Texas Roadhouse. At our ballpark, we have YUMMY soft pretzels, and I ate one at EVERY.SINGLE.GAME!

And so, now I have to lose that weight. I'm skipping breakfast each day, hoping that helps. But over the years, I've really grown to love my biscuits in the morning. Now, I'm starving!!! I want to eat.

And, it's Tuesday. Y'all know what that means. I think my diet is going to have to hold until after Chicken & Dressin'!

Oh, my metabolism is going....in the wrong direction!

And I don't want nothin' healthy for breakfast. I want a big ol' bacon biscuit or chocolate covered donuts! (Now you see why I need to skip it! LOL)

Skipping breakfast can actually hurt you more than eating breakfast. If you can't have a healthy brakfast, I would make that your unhealthy meal and the make your lunch and snacks healthier.

So do I. However, I do like it. Dress it up with craisins and sliced almonds. Or whatever fresh fruit is in season. I use the regular Quaker Oats, none of that quick cook crap.

And you do need to eat breakfast. Try a banana and english muffin. Your body does not like to be starved in the morning, and it will give you negative payback if you skip breakfast. I speak from experience, I tried to lose by skipping and it didn't work. Once I got on track eating healthy and working out, I lost about 85 pounds over 6 months.

Ideally you should eat 4-5 small meals during the day. I'm not that good, but I do try to have a small snack when the munchies hit mid-day.

Okay, off healthy soap box.

Like you need to lose weight! You're itty bitty as it is.

Willie's right about skipping meals, it's counter productive. That will slow your metabolism and can actually cause you to gain.

You should a light breakfast eat as quickly as possible after waking. That stimulates your thyroid and revs up your metabolism. Then eat several smaller meals over the course of the day to keep it revved up, even a small and healthy snack later in the evening.

Don't believe most of what you see/hear from TV and the diet gurus, most of it is bull.

When I got pregnant I started eating that Kashi Heart Healthy stuff. It wasn't great, but it had 100% of my daily vitamins, including folic acid which the baby needs. It's gross. I am so tired of it, and I have discovered that is has been the cause of some massive heartburn. No more oatmeal.

I feel ya, IF. I never ate breakfast before pregnancy - it made me sick to my stomach, so it was coffee until lunch time. Now I am a fatty mcfatalot and have lots to lose! LOL I will not be eating breakfast after BabyB gets here.

Most mornings, I eat a poached egg (actually microwaved) on a whole-wheat English muffin or bagel thin, with some ham and a slice of low fat pepperjack cheese.

Loads of protein and complex carbs for only about 300-350 calories. And quite tasty!

Don't worry y'all. I'll keep tabs on her. Now that it's staying light later, we'll be walking up and down the road.

I bet she'd make a good flooring installer.
