I have been horribly clumsy this week!!! A week ago Thursday I was at my son's ballgame and I slipped on the dang bleachers. It hurt like you know what! I got a huge bruise that is now spreading down my entire leg and has a knot in it.
Then last Sunday I stepped in a 1x1 that came off of our porch and the darn nail went up through my shoe and into the bottom of my foot. That hurt like crazy too!!!
Well, since the bruise was spreading and I hadn't had a tetnus shot since 1995, I figured I would call the doctor. I made an appointment to go in yesterday. He told me that the bruise spreading was just gravity pulling it down and that the knot should go away soon. I told him how clumsy I had been and since it had been a couple years since I had any bloodwork done, he decided to check everything. So the nurse pulls blood from my left arm and then went to give me my tetnus shot. She asked me what hand I was and I told her that I was left handed, but that I didn't care which arm she put it in. So she was going to just put it in my left arm since my sleve was already up, but I guess I had a patch of dry skin, so she decided to switch. So I then had to get a shot im my right arm. Let me tell you, that darn thing hurt worse than the nail in the foot!!! It still freaking hurts!!!
I got my blood work back today and they said that everything was good except that I have low vitamin D. I looked it up online and one of the things I read said that a vitamin D deficiency could cause falls....so that it what I am going with. I'm not really that clumsy! )
