I Hate DST

I woke up at 0400 this morning. We moved our clocks ahead Saturday night, but my body clock is not on DST. I go to bed early because I get up very early in the morning to get ready for work. Once summer gets here, it will still be daylight when I go to bed. That stinks.

I'm not a fan either. Seems like half my day is in the dark.

I realize some folks enjoy the "later" hours of daylight, but that doesn't help me any.

I usually like it, but last night I could NOT go to sleep. The kids got into bed really late. We were totally off track for dinner because I completely lost track of time. We woke up late with very sleepy kids. UGH And Monday is our busy day with gymnastics and today I have school conferences and my mother's birthday. It's gonna be a long day.

Same thing at my house. I lost track of time and ended up finishing my last load of laundry at 10:30. :( I am usually almost asleep, if not already, by then. I set my phone's alarm clock, but forgot to change the time on my bedside alarm. So when the alarm went off, I thought I'd set it too early. So, I went back to sleep. And I was late.

I think everybody lost track. DD was up set she missed her first class this AM. Good thing the teacher is a family friend. :))

If I had to pick between the two, I'd have to pick DST. I like it staying light longer in the summer, but there's another reason. I have found it more difficult to see while driving at night. In my 20's it was no problem, but then again I haven't been driving the roads every single night for years. When I went back to the road this winter and starting driving around, I really had to concentrate. At least this summer it won't be so much of a pain.

You're getting old man!
He's not the only one. Ask GD ...

:))

I've been playing tennis for about 10+ years. Started noticing a couple of years ago that I was having trouble seeing the ball at night. It's gotten to the point that I see the server toss the ball in the air, then I see it right before it hits me. Not good when playing a match!!!
