Hurricane Sandy

Although it should be way off the coast here, they have already posted tropical storm conditions for both Sat & Sun. Bunches of rain, high surf, beach erosion and high winds expected. Forecast as of now shows it taking a sharp louie between DC and NY

Stay safe Dav!! I think you'll miss the worst part of it, but it's still going to impact you. My sister that lives in Ormond Beach is already seeing the rough seas and strong winds.

Hunker down! Batten the hatches..... BE SAFE! :pray

Will do!!! I forecast me visiting the local ABC store tomorrow prior to Sandy's arrival :thumbsup
LOL! Sounds like the best plan to me!

My cousin in Key Largo posted some awesome pics yesterday of the approaching storm.

And Dav, beer will stay cold on ice, underground for about 3 days. Just thought you might like to know. :) :snick_bunny

Made my ABC run to stock up. The winds are starting to pickup so I am off to do some yard duty getting the patio furniture and anything else that is prone to go airborne into the shed or tied up close to the house!!! I'll try and snap some pics this weekend and post. Our concern here is just gusty winds, lots of rain, and beach erosion.

On another note concerning this storm, they are saying it could cause widespread damage mid-atlantic to the New England coastal & inland areas around Mon or Tues. Do you think if major power outages and/or property damage does happen that it could have an effect on people voting 11/6 OR maybe not being able to vote? Just a thought

Stay safe.

They mentioned that on the news this morning. It will be interesting to watch it unfold.

Oh, PICS, PICS!!! Even if you aren't able to post them right away...I LOVE STORMS!!! (Saith she who isn't in the path of this one. :soashamed )

Well, if it does, it'll affect people in liberal areas, and since conservatives are generally determined to vote no matter what, I don't see that as a bad thing. I keed, I keed...but only as far as weather actually adversely affecting their ability to get out and vote. The part about conservatives being the more determined voters is true.

At this point I am looking forward to the winds taking out all those ugly arse political signs polluting the roadways around here :thumbsup

10 more days Dav, 10 more days. We either suffer through another 4 years of an incompetent nincompoop or listen to MSM moan and groan about the Republican in the White House. I'm still boycotting ABC. :)

On another note, please let us know how things are going and that you're safe.

So are y'all saying that Boobama got ahold of Bush's hurricane machine and is using it to create interference with the elections?

All's well as of now. Steady heavy rain, wind gusts up to 50 mph. They say later this evening to expect sustained heavy winds to kick in
