(Okay did anyone else think "Stephanie Tanner" as you opened the thread? What about now? :)) )

Time are tough, I get that, but really if you can not afford to eat/drink out why go? Apparently at a restaurant my child frequents a couple came in and ate and left. :( Child overheard the waitress and felt so bad that he and another covered the meal. It makes me mad that people out there are like that.
 
Sadly, people have done that for years and years and it is rarely about not being able to pay the bill.

And, since Missy has a newfound love for Full House, I totally pictured her!!
 
I have seen it happen once here in PC at a restaurant that is no longer.

The waitress was freaking out cause it was gonna have to come out of her pocket. I saw some nice lady kindly pay for it to help the waitress out. The waitress was ever so thankful

I agree stay home if you can not afford to pay or TIP

How rude!

Some restaurants require the server to pay for the meals if they allow a customer to walk out without paying. I don't know if they might all do that.

I did accidentally do it once myself, thinking someone else paid the tab. Got to the car when I realized what happened and ran back in to pay, to find someone else had. Tried to find that person to repay them, but either they refused to let me, or I couldn't find them...can't remember.

I have heard that! I can't imagine doing that to someone.

Such a great kid you have!! I've seen this happen before and people really suck. Servers don't ALLOW people to walk out on their check. People just walk out..... How Rude! (Stephanie Tanner) HA!
 
That is taking trailer trash to a whole new level IMO. Walking out without paying is stealing, plain and simple.

I agree. :rant Firstly, the server has to pay their tab since they snuck out and THEN said server gets no tip which helps pay her bills. POS....

I have read this numerous times and I just have to ask you one question... Why would a server ALLOW someone to walk out on their tab? People get up and leave when the server is slammed but I have never met one that allowed people to walk out. :girlsaysno Please tell me this is just a case of bad wording.
