hey, waski - we need an update...

When we moved from Hiram, (my house) there were ten boxes, mostly out of the kitcken. Three bedroom house. It took the movers all of an 1 1/2 hours to completely clear the house. One of the crew even told me it was nothing, the easiest move out they had ever done. I told him, wait until you see the Atlanta condo. They went the next day. There were at least 50 boxes, 35 of which were books. Freaking books everywhere. I told her a Kindle would hold thousands of titles, and she has an ipad to boot. She will not part with these damn books. We have a spare bedroom closet full of them. Women are pack rats.

I love the tin backsplash! Those are big rooms for a small home! And a good bit of cabinet space.

Ditto! I esp. like the bedroom window curtain. :D I'm just messin' with you, Waski. I moved to my current house nearly nine years ago, and still have a crapload of stuff to go through in my basement. (Hey, Callahan, I got a weekend project for you! :D )

I'm so excited for you, Waski! I like the before and after pics idea.

That would be easy. You may not care for my scorched earth methods. Not many do. If it isn't nailed down, it goes! :D

Everything is off the floor in the living room. I have a bit too much on the coffee table, but I will get there. I'm also going to rent a dumpster to get rid of the previous occupant's garbage. Meanwhile, I'm moving my stuff onto the shelves in the basement. Part of this project is finding new locations for stuff.

This will also be an incentive to throw away even more of my own stuff. I left a huge pile of garbage bags at the old house which felt good. Now I need to evaluate my stuff at the new house. Maybe some books need to go too. Cooking too. I have a bit too much food stored: time to do some more home cooking!
