Hey, let's punish women that get abortions...

“I am pro-life,” Trump said. Asked how a ban would actually work, Trump said, “Well, you go back to a position like they had where they would perhaps go to illegal places but we have to ban it,” Trump said.

Matthews then pressed Trump on whether he believes there should be punishment for abortion if it were illegal

“There has to be some form of punishment,” Trump said. “For the woman?” Matthews asked. “Yeah,” Trump said, nodding.

Trump said the punishment would “have to be determined.”

Regardless of how one feels about abortion, it's legal and that's not going to change.

It's almost like Trump is purposely trying to alienate all women. It makes me wonder if he really wants to be president but his ego won't let him back out now.

He's already admitted that he can say or do whatever he wants and no one is jumping off the Trump Train.

I am seriously considering sitting this one out, I have no interest in voting for someone who is fundamentally unserious.

Carson is on Fox now and clarified that Trump believes some form of punishment should be enforced on those who perform abortions if it were to ever become illegal.

Oh...Geez...It's a hypothetical "what if" folks. I wouldn't sit out a vote, because someone posts a what if scenario. If its against the law in a hypothetical situation to get an abortion, it doesn't matter who is punished, whether its the woman or the doctor, its against the law. At the end of the day....Its not going to happen. Why would a republican even bother with such a story, but I'm noticing a trend.

The trend is Trump has no core beliefs (he changes his opinions sometimes daily) and is repeatedly showing that he isn't equipped to be the most powerful person in the world.

I read an article yesterday written by a lady who had resigned as one of his campaign communications officers. She said Trump entered the race not to win, but to come in second. The reason? He wanted to be able to say after a new president was in office that he would be doing a better job than the president. I'll see if I can find it and post a link to it. It was quite interesting.

I read that too. I wonder if Trump lays in bed at night and says to himself "can you believe this sh*t?". :)

The trend is republicans playing gotcha with democrat talking points... That trend much like the reporter being pushed to the ground, that turned up bogus after watching the video, and the Mitt Romney's war against women crap, both of appeared here.....

So how would Cruz answer the question? If one of his 5 sexual exploitations became pregnant and chose to have an abortion in a situation where abortion was banned? Would it be the poor doctor, who didn't want a woman to die because she would have tried to remedy the situation herself OR would the woman be to blame for being copartner in creating the situation? Democrats eagerly await the hypothetical answer.......

The reporter never said she was pushed to the ground.

Trump certainly has a history of denigrating women. That isn't even up for debate at this point.

The correct answer :

"I am not going to play your ridiculous gotcha game, Chris. Like it or not, abortion is legal in this country.
While I personally do not agree with it, the supreme court says women have the right to make that choice.
What we need to focus on is comprehensive birth control education to reduce the need for that choice and
do more to promote the beautiful choice of adoption."

"Now, let's talk about this Obamacare disaster and how President
Obama is illegally using taxpayer funds to bail out insurance companies."

LOL...Well you certainly can't argue with that answer. Trump isn't that political savvy and with social problems Trump can't divert the topic to China.

Yes, it's stupid to even entertain such a question, but the liberal media certainly has a talent for asking these "hypothetical" questions....but only of republicans. It's not difficult to answer, even if you stand against abortion.

He should have scolded Chris and said what honneybunny suggested. It's the same answer I thought of after hearing the question. It's no different than asking me if people who love and listen to bluegrass music should be prosecuted if made illegal. While I would be inclined to agree they should, that's an entirely different story. :p

But the real stupidity of the question is the question itself. Why would anyone bother to go to such great lengths to outlaw a certain activity without a penalty being attached to it. Of course not Chris...we're just going to make abortion illegal just to make a point. No one will be prosecuted for having one. These stupid journalists are mentally ill.

Then I heard on a separate show someone saying that the mother and the baby are both the "victims" of such a policy. Can I just ask an obvious question? How can a "thing" that is not considered to be alive or human be a victim? It's only a live human when it fits the liberal argument. I go back to a bumper sticker I saw years ago that read, "If it's not alive...Why kill it?"
