Have You Seen the AJC Lately?

I haven't looked at much less purchased an AJC in a long time until today. There really wasn't much to the paper today. It had four sections, but each was very thin. What really amazed me was the size of the classified section; it hardly contained anything at all, not like it used to.

My wife only buys the sunday edition for the coupons, the rest is used to line the bottom of the guinea pig cage.

I pick up the Sunday paper (for the coupons), but do look through it occasionally, especially the editorial section and the comics (which I sometimes confuse one for the other). The classified section is mostly online now - ajcjobs.com.

Even the Sunday paper is extremely thin. Without the sale ads and coupons it would be almost nothing.

Glad to see you Fox!!!

i only do the sunday paper once or twice a month .. I am looking forward to the Thanksgiving edition though.. I am like a kid bugging everyone till I have it in hand

a) Print media is dying.

2) Ads determine how big the paper will be (I used to work for a newspaper). If they sell few ads, then the paper is thin.

c) Craigslist and other things have done a number on classified stuff.
