No green beer or corned beef and cabbage here this year.

This is the only day of the year that Notre Dame is allowed to win a basketball game....or anything for that matter. It's also the only day of the year I might be convinced to spend in Boston. Savannah, on the other hand, is far nicer a place without all of the drunks. JMHO

Fox, I guess you are going to just have to celebrate the day like a true Irishman of yore, as a day of charity and celebration of the Irish heritage. I'm sure, however, that a few proud Highwaymen here will gladly lift a glass of Guinness in your honor.

If we could harness all the gas that stuff produces, we could solve the energy crises.

Hey Fox. I could have sent you some green food color for your beer. That is all they use! Happy St. Patty's Day anyway.

We aren't allowed to have any type of alcoholic beverages here. It's part of the "No Fun Rule."

Corned beef, cabbage and boiled potatoes, ready in about an hour...........Happy St. Patty's day everyone!!

What a day! Last night, we went to the party and oyster roast. One of the Shrine Officers was at the party was wanted me to drive the Potentate of the Shrine in the parade in my Thunderbird convertible. Considering he dresses out at around 350, I said it wouldn't work. He was in a Cadillac convertible today, so they worked it out. Not nearly as cool as the Thunderbird.

The parade was excellent. The owner/founder of the Chief's Law Firm has a home on Liberty Street, right on the parade route. We went there and watched from a second floor porch. The best seats around. Very nice, since the parade was over four hours. When the Ranger Battalion came though, you would have thought they were celebrities. I think they are. Every time the American flag passed, the State Troopers in the intersection snapped to attention and saluted. Very impressive. And it was hot! Pretty girls everywhere, all greened out.

Then it was home to corned beef and cabbage. I'm stuffed. I think I'm all St. Patty's out.

I was at Tybee Island last St. Patty's day, it was wonderful!! Wish I could have been there this year as well. Next year we'll try again. :)

Well, I completely blew my St. Patty's dinner. I had planned corned beef and cabbage. After a whole afternoon of shopping, we didn't get home in time. So, it was a trip by the Kroger deli to pick up some corned beef and we made homemade reuben sandwiches. The kids loved them. They WERE NOT looking forward to the corned beef and cabbage. :)) I think that was part of their plan. I'll get them next year! :)) I thought last year's was wonderful, we even had homemade irish bread.
