And as luck would have it, it's also my ringtone. Last summer the lovely and gracious Mrs. Reacher and I went to Chastain to see Steely Dan. I think Chastain is the best place I've ever been to a concert. Anyway, I grew up listening to them and love their hit "Hey Nineteen", so it's my main ringtone. They played Hey Ninteen during the concert, but left out my next favorite song of theirs, "Deacon Blues". I guess I'll just have to listen to it on Metube.
Geeez! These guys are getting old!

When I was in high school (and I knew him afterward, too, sort of) a guy one grade ahead of me was the biggest Steely Dan fan. He went to as many shows as he could.

I thought it was strange. LOL But I like them!!

They can get a little out of control "jazzy" in concert, but their sound was and is very unique. I think that's what it takes to stand out in the music industry. I enjoyed their out-door concert and would go to Chastain more if I didn'a have to float a loan every time we go.

I liked Steely Dan alot. Had one of their cassette tapes. So uniquely identifiable when they came on the radio. I think they are supposed to be in Richmond this summer. I always think of a blue haze when I hear them. lol
