Great news for small business owners

….at least for now. Some may not be aware but a new “Rule” requiring most small businesses (with some exceptions and exemptions) to file a form was due by 12 /31/24 or potentially face penalties of up to $10k or 2 years imprisonment. I’m not going into details here and this is not to be interpreted as legal advice so if this is new to you then I suggest speaking to your accountant or lawyer.

Anyhow, a federal injunction was passed against it yesterday so apparently it’s not necessarily to file it…at least for now. It’s a small victory for small businesses owners and hopefully it will eventually be finalized in our favor.

Again, don’t take my word for it but research it yourself and stay on top of any future changes. I expect the goobermint to file an appeal so this just may eventually end up at the Supreme Court.

I just think it is so interesting we watch the Elite Lawmakers, who are absolutely the ones breaking the laws when it comes to ill gotten gains, try to point fingers at small business owners...as if to demonize the hard working Americans who founded businesses that provide jobs for the majority of our country... it is just so maddening!

They're more interested in catching someone using a cash app for payment and not reporting it.

FYI

This is back on for now. New deadline is March 21st, though they have hinted at extending it.

Court battles are still going on, and there are bills in congress to delay and even kill it. So it's not over.

We've been looking at the filing site, it's not that bad, no need to pay someone to do it for you.

Yeah, I still believe it's unconstitutional. But some many things the federal government is doing also is, and they get away with it.

From what we saw, the information the feds want is data that the states already have. If it's constitutional, why do they just force the states to give it to them instead of putting the burden on small business?
