FOX....YOU TALKING ABOUT THIS FLOAT.....

A float entry from dallashwy.com would be a good way to get some exposure. GD, you have that big trailer that could be used as a platform for the float. I'm sure there would be enough people here that would volunteer to work on it. You might be able to convince kitty to talk to Jeff about him and the Impossible Dream to participate. They were a hit with the parade spectators when we did it for hwy278.

That would be a great idea. I suppose Guard Dad would want to be Elvis ::) :laugh I'll have a DallasHwy.com banner made for the float...LET'S DO IT! :DN

I do have a big trailer, we'd just have to careful that it's not being used for work at that time. I also have the sound system and a big inverter to power it from a vehicle battery.

How often have you had to use the trailer during December in the past? If it's often, then perhaps looking for another trailer would be a good idea. kitty, whose trailer was used for the 278 float?

I think this is an excellent idea to get some exposure for the forum.

I just never know; it's whenever duty calls. I could probably plan it free for a couple of days, just not for longer periods.

kitty, do you think Jeff would let us borrow it and also participate on the float like he did for 278?

Elvis did record "I'll Be Home for Christmas." I suggest that be the theme for the float. You could get a few veterans from the current wars, Vietnam, and Korea to be on the float with him and the Impossible Dream. Those that can still fit in their uniforms would be encouraged to wear them and if not, wear something reflective of their service.

Elvis Presley I'll Be Home For Christmas

I just got off the phone with Jeff and he said he would be glad too.....and yes you could use his trailer......

Hey, I resemble the driver of those floats. Y'all will have a headache blast organizing this. But FOX, the theme will be outlined by the Parade Committee. They usually announce the yearly theme sometime by end of Sept/early Oct
