I think the Democrats miscalculated somewhat. I cannot remember a time in my years that such a large portion of the American people were passionately dedicated to a president. there are millions of people in this country who would die for this man! And they are angry, rightfully so I think. I also truly believe that this election was stolen. How? On many fronts, I think, but that's topic for another discussion. These people, and I as well, feel very wronged, betrayed by the very government we are sworn to. And no one in power seems to want to do a damn thing about it.
It's hugely frustrating, to say the least. While I don't condone the violence at this time (there might come a time, but not now), I get it. I understand what these people are feeling. I understand why they are mad as hell.
What will happen from here? I don't know for sure. The movement is not going away anytime soon, Trump himself has said that his supporters will have a big voice. Not sure what that means yet, but I suspect Trump will find a way to be heard and keep the movement going. And frankly, it needs to. Washington reeks with corruption, and is the only one who had the courage (perhaps lacking in tact) to take it on. I think that's what saddens me most about him not having a second term; that's when the gloves were probably coming off.
The Democrats are making this so much worse than it could be. Biden made a call for unity, but the Democrats and their sheeple continue with the hate and are actually ramping up their attacks on Trump and his supporters. So I genuinely fear that trouble is coming. And it needs to be said...Trump has the backing of the police and most of the military. As for his supporters, well, a lot of them are people you don't want to piss off. I'll just leave that at that.
The FBI is worried that there will be heavily armed protests in DC and elsewhere. Well frankly, I can see that happening. Again, I'm not condoning it, I just know how angry people are and what many of his supporters are capable of.
I fear we may have some rough times ahead of us. Perhaps most concerning, the race warlords are working overtime to turn black sand whites against each other. Even one of my own friends is all caught up in it.
I don't know, my friends. But this isn't feeling much like America anymore.
