Facebook is not the real world (thankfully). I realize that some people attach more meaning to it than I do. But, I get annoyed with posts like this one I saw today.

For all of those that I know... I ask you a favor...and this is really personal to my family at this time. Only some of you will do it,(and I know who you are if necessary) if you know someone who has led a battle with cancer and passed away or someone struggling again...please add this to your status for 1 hour as a mark of remembrance, I hope I was right about the people who are going to do it. Just copy/paste.

Not me. I've lost a few family members to cancer and I had some surgery a few years ago (thankfully nothing to worry about yet according to the doctor). I think people like this miss that we don't all wear our hearts on our sleeves and some of us like to keep things private.

Eh, I pretty much read them, keep the person in my thoughts and prayers, and then move on.
 
Just the new age chain emails.

There was a pic of a baby in a hospital bed going around for months last year. Poor kid had 4 different names!

99.999% of the time if a post ask you to report or share, it's a hoax or scam. Some are viruses also and will hijack your computer and FB account.

I'm serious. But, I didn't unfriend her - she's one of the folks that remind me that I'm sort of normal.

Yeah, I don't play those games. Those who know me, know my heart. And I don't have to make a Facebook post to prove it. And, I haven't been playing the thankful game this month either. Deliberately. :p
