Here is a picture of Duke meeting our kitten, Smokey. He was scared at first! ;D

We had a Great Pyrenees (pound puppy) when a neighbor gave us a very small kitten. The first time I tried to introduce the two, the kitten left claw marks up the front of my chest, down my back and shredded the carpet trying to get to the back room. I think I still have the marks!

But they ended up becoming best friends and would play like 2 dogs. Or the cat would get up out of reach of the dog and sneak attack her when she wasn't looking. Every now and then the cat would come around with the very large paw print on his head where the dog gave him a friendly tap.
 
Duke's like, hey, what is this tiny terror before me? Run away, Duke...run away! hahahahaahahahaa

Smokey is not psychotic! That would be Snickers. Smokey hissed at him, so he was scared, but also interested in finding out what she was. He pretty much followed her all morning.
 
That's a funny picture. I'm glad he's getting along with Smokey. He's never been around cats before so he was probably thinking, "You're the strangest looking dog I've ever seen."
 
I would love to have been able to keep Duke. He looks like a precious pet and a good friend. The picture is wonderful.
