Yep we do! Come on out to our annual kick-off meeting on January 13th at 7PM to see what the club is all about. We have field trips, competitions, guest speakers and so much more. ALL levels of photographers are welcome to join us.

We meet in downtown Dallas, at 122 Main Street, which is right acorss the street from the 'old' fountain. Hope to see some new faces next Thursday!
 
I need to check it out. I have a really great camera and have no clue how to use it.

I have taken some good pics of the grandkids and DS, but I know I can do so much better.

I used to be into photography big time and had all kinds of equipment until my ex-wife sold all of it. Just one of the many reasons she's an ex. I've been think about getting a digital SLR with interchangeable lenses.

I think that is what mine is. I do know I need to get a lens so I can get some really great sports shots. All the ones I took this year with the regular lens that comes with the camera, were not that good.
 
Well both of you need to come on out! We have alot of knowledgable mebers who would be happy to help you. I am self taught, so not always the best to ask for technical advice, but I can usually explain things great in laymans terms. Our club is alot of fun :)
 
Announcement!!! We are carefully watching the weather and the conditions of the roadways. If there is not marked improvement of the roadways, tomorrow nights meeting will be cancelled. Please stay tuned for further information.
 
The next meeting will be the 27th at 7PM. It is a competition night, so a great time to come out and see the quality work done by area photographers.

Kids are welcome in our club as long as they are old enough to sit through the meetings without being disruptive. We currently have two kids who are members of the club, my 12 yr old daughter, and another 10 yr old little girl. Both have an interest in photography and the maturity to sit though the meetings (I hope!) lol If you have kids interested, you can join as a family and they are welcome to attend meetings with you.
