Debate Impressions?

I give the edge to Romney for being the better speaker and more in control of the facts. And, he burned Obama pretty well a couple of times.

I think this was a split - Obama did a lot better this time around and Romney held his own. Obama had a chip on his shoulder, but Romney came across as a little more likeable.

I thought it was pretty much a tie. Anyone watch the news and see yet who they are giving it to?

Most of the media that I'm watching are not declaring a clear winner.

BUT...the focus group stuff I'm seeing is breaking heavily for Romney.

Romney has the current momentum but Obama has the advantage of being the incumbent. This debate was a virtual tie with both candidates splitting positive and negative moments. The question is whether Obama did enough to slow Romney's momentum.

I couldn't watch. I make a very real effort these days to keep as much negativity as possible out of my life, and I knew that would stress me. So I watched Criminal Minds instead. And in one episode (which is a last season episode), Hotch has a rather scruffy beard because he's in the field in Pakistan. HUBBA, HUBBA!!!

FoxNews fact checkers are tearing "the O" a new ....err....opening. WOW, I missed a bunch of stuff while type in the FB debate group. lol

I didn't find the debate stressful at all - I actually enjoyed it. I especially liked it when Romney got up in the President's face and said "answer the question." My liberal friends went nuts and started posting about respecting the office.

LOL Me, too! I enjoyed it, but between Hwy, FB, Twitter, etc. I was wound up!

I saw some news article where some were saying Obama won the debate on points. The article never explained what they meant by points. Where they scoring it in some way like a boxing match?

As for my own observations; I'd have to say if people actually look at what facts were being said and what was total BS, Romney wins. As far as presentation goes, it's a tie and let's face it, some voters decide not on facts, but on presentation.
