Cool ... I want one!!

Hey Unionmom, I have the room and would love to have bees near my garden. You can have the honey and take care of the hives, think we can make a deal??
 
Traditional bee-keeping/honey farming doesn't work for me. That whole I'm-allergic-to-bee-stings thing gets in the way.




(I just know one of the resident smarty-britches wants to chime in with "Ok, so don't get stung.")
 
yeah that wouldn't work for me either UM..I am allergic to bee stings to...and bee's in general freak me out!

1) The bee hive is WAY cool. My Daddy had bees when we were growing up (I grew up on a farm). Can I just tell you how INCREDIBLY STICKY the house gets when you take honey off the combs? OH. MY. GOSH...I can see and hear and smell it right now just thinking about it. We rarely got stung, but sometimes. I'm not allergic, but my siblings are and they did fine. Honeybees are mild creatures who generally won't bother you if you don't bother them. And beekeepers do use smoke to calm them. :losingmyselfinfondmemories:

2) Clowns are the debil, and GuardDad should be kicked in the shin for scaring us. :tapfoot2
