ok whoes cable went out lastnight for like ten minutes i swear guard dad was toying with the cable also :taunt :taunt :taunt
 
I said the same thing in the where are ya thread last night... I told them with the cable and hwy out I was thinking about calling 911
 
When was comcast out? I never noticed it and I live in between MamaHog and Sadie so if it got both of them it should have me too.
 
It was around 9 here, too. And it was worse than out ... it got all pixelated and came and went. Tease!
 
It was from 10:30 for about an hour ... It went off during the 10 o'clock news
 
I was TICKED because it started acting up when the debate started. :rant But as I've been hearing this morning, I probably wouldn't have liked what I heard anyway :'(

RNG can't help that part.

Direct is only bad when you get a bad install. Ours never goes out unless we're about to have a monsoon, and then it's for 2-3 minutes. We had Comcast some years ago before DTV had the local channels, and the cable and internet was out more than the satellite was.

Twins! I swear, I am a walking advert for those folks. DirecTV is DA BOMB!!! I will never go back to cable. I couldn't get over how much better it is, and how much more awesomely I love it. Had it nine years so far, and it's been so nice. Also, their customer service folks are GREAT to deal with. Seldom am I as happy with a service as I am DirecTV.

True story. Mine has never gone out for more than 2-3 minutes even in the worst weather (it's usually very hard rain that will scramble my signal for just a minute or so and then it has to reacquire the satellite signal for another minute or so). It did go out during last year's big snow, but I swept the snow off the dish with a broom, and it was back just like always. I promise my cable used to go out more than DirecTV ever has.

We honestly tried to switch to Comcast about a year ago and couldn't (the price was a lot cheaper than Dish) -- they couldn't get the order right, the price kept changing, and the guy finally showed up to install a phone line instead of cable.....
 
I can not tell you how much I loath Comcast. I can only get 3mbps DSL here but I'm willing to live with it to keep from having to deal with Comcast's customer no-service. AAAARRRRGGGGGG. Two years and I'm still pissed.

BTW, we get free over the air 1080i TV and love it. We can get most cable shows over the internet for free a few days after they first air. I do miss Discovery and TNT though. They don't play the internet TV game. We have to wait for their shows to come out on DVD.
